"The rediscovery of the Soul - Us and Our Animals"

The relationship between us and our pets possesses unique qualities that are not found in any other type of relationship. The total dedication they give us goes far beyond mere physical company. If we imagine a hypothetical friendship between a person and a wild animal, however wonderful it may certainly be, it does not have the same characteristics of "service" and "sacrifice" that a pet brings with it. The animal that crosses the threshold of a house by consenting to partnership with its human friend becomes part of an energy field that is very different from that of animals that live in nature.

The problems of our animals are our problems, and a human consciousness that grows and becomes aware of itself, of what it really is, that is, a multidimensional energetic entity, is at some point forced by itself to consider reality not as a series of objective, static, programmable and controllable objects and material events, but to reconsider it as a landscape of the soul made of plastic, malleable, subtle, ductile and highly subjective and influenceable substance. Matter is the smile of the divine that continues inexorably to call the souls separated from It. The presence of our animals in our lives is not only a presence of companionship, but it is a key to the meanders of our souls, which leads to take back the parts that have been forgotten, neglected, ignored, let go and / or gone lost. Fully living the relationship with your animal, aware of its spiritual structure, since both members (person and animal) are Spirits-Souls embodied in an earthly experience, allows you to fully welcome all the gifts that this relationship offers.

The relationship between human and animal is often intimate and carnal. Intimate because they share the same spaces, the same experiences and their respective lives influence each other. Carnal because it is physical, between caresses, kisses, hugs and simple but deep contact when, for example, you rest together. Two bodies in contact communicate a great deal, in a non-calculable or rational way (even if now, many of the intuitions already present in the sentient and emotional sphere of people are confirmed thanks to tools designed to measure and quantify various parameters, e.g. what the Heartmath Institute does, amongst many others). Together with our animal we are fine, together with our animal, even if both of us does different activities we are and feel accompanied and supported. This is not always remembered during daily life, but it is in the absence and in the most difficult moments we are sometimes called to face in this relationship, that we can realise how much it matters and how much it moves in us.

At this point of the story I want to specify that the gifts are bilateral. It is an exchange that takes place between us and our animals, it is a giving, a mutual offering even if the animals tend to be more inclined to this than the people in this particular relationship. The animal invites us to be ourselves, to take our pieces in our hands and put them back together with deep compassion, respect for our own learning times and a lot of love and gratitude for the experience that is offered to us; in turn we allow the animal to experience a life full of attention and care towards them, we take the responsibility of taking care of their needs, so we make them feel listened to, understood and we are committed to satisfying their needs. Satisfying a need is a right, and this same action we take towards them is an invitation to do it towards ourselves as well. Now I am narrating the development of the human-animal relationship in an ideal key, it is clear that very often this is not the case, but it is exactly towards what it tends. The opening and warming the heart, restoring and reviving the soul. What do we like to do? Where are we happy? Where does our joy lead us? These are the questions that matter and deserve an answer and consequent action. What do we bring to the world if we do not follow that trail that illuminates and warms our interiority?

Why did I mention sacrifice initially? Since the human being is in a state of spiritual and soul sleep, (even if a strong awakening is in progress) and in this circumstance the animal is the one who with their presence and with their life tries to move the human out from this numbness. I have a lot of faith and trust in life and I am convinced that the more we open up to our real immaterial nature, the more our lives can be lived in beauty, happiness and joy. Pain and disease will no longer make sense of existing as their call will have been widely heard and the surrounding world will have changed along with our state of consciousness. Our bodies and all bodies materials are vehicles of pure appearance, and matter is therefore infinite possibility. This absolutely does not want to diminish matter and the material world, on the contrary, it wants to bring it back to its origin of pure energetic consciousness, in such a way as to remember how much we count and how much we can act in our world and therefore consequently also in the external world. . As within so without, as above so below and vice versa. Hermes Trismegistus and his alchemical precepts are immutable pearls of the continuous movement of Life.

Everything is a symbol and every event is a call to rediscover the mystical union between our existence and our divine essence. Who do we unite with, who do we copulate with every day? With a series of induced beliefs, various indoctrinations stemming from a separatist worldview founded on fear, control and competition? Or do we unite in love and pleasure with a creative, non-dualistic over-mind, at the service of the soul, that is inclusive and free to discern?

As soon as we incarnate on the terrestrial plane we find ourselves catapulted into a world that is so different from the vast and immense one of the spirit (I say spirit but I mean all the subtle worlds beyond matter as it is normally perceived), and as soon as we land on this earthy plane we are given our existence in our hands. What to do with it? How to live? Really the choice is ours, and our great and immense animal allies give themselves to life, with their specific individuality and their distinctive traits and at the same time manifesting characteristics and movements also inherent in our soul. In this sharing of life and space, things often get mixed and are not always well definable, but when they touch us deeply or disturb us we can certainly identify an area of our life, of our soul to heal and pacify, or even simply to be celebrated, precisely to go more and more towards a path of joy, to live a life happy of living it, in our individuality, together with our animals and in the collective.

As a Counsellor and Holistic Practitioner for people and animals, and as an animal companion since I was born, I see and have seen, lived and experienced all the dynamics described above. I have often asked myself the questions I mentioned before and I often keep asking myself; it is never over and you can always improve and grow. Sharing my experiences, my reflections as well as my work is what I want to bring to the world. Nothing is ever lost and everything is a call to reunite with one's soul and with the world understood as the Buddhists understand it: the Dharma Kaya, the body of the Buddha, or as we could call it the body of Christ. What is the difference between a world experienced as materialistic and separatist compared to the world experienced as Dharma Kaya? The first brings comes with fear, a sense of guilt, a sense of unworthiness, abuse, nefarious actions and suffering. The second brings with it beauty, lightness, splendor, a sense of profound union, peace and health.

Thank you!
